Buffy the Vampire Slayer is my absolute favorite television show so naturally I took up reading the novels to explore new stories with my favorite characters This book is by far my favorite of the media tie ins from the series First of all I love that the book is from Willow s perspective In season five Willow and Tara did not have as big of a role that they did the season before or as they did in the season after so it was nice to hear about their relationship Also Willow references taking a drama class in the season four finale restless but on the show there were no actual scenes of her in the class I always wondered what she would have been like in a drama class so the book sort of gives the fans a chance to experience that even though it never ended up in the show I thought the plot was very strong and the theatre references to famous plays and playwrights added a layer of credibility to the story O

Curtain Call Willow Rosenberg is disappointed when her best friend Buffy aka the Chosen One decides to drop drama class in order to concentrate on her Slaying Willow decides to stick with the class on her own however and this once shy wallflower is pleased to find herself way bitten with the acting bugIt's. An enjoyable enough story and the authors found the voices for Willow Spike and Dru I uestion everyone else but those were the main characters for this story anywayIt centers around Willow s Drama class the one Buffy had to drop when she needed to take care of Dawn and actually get a job in addition to being The Chosen One and the story of how William became Spike It jumps between Sunnydale in 2000 and London 1880 I enjoyed the London story a bit as it was the Spike story and I do so love himeven now It took a little bit for the stories to get going and to weave into each other but when they did the last 100 pages of the book read like lightning flashes I would recommend this book to Buffy fans specifically those who liked Will and Spike

It was okay but I was actually a little disappointed with this book The characters were well written and in line with the tv show Spike is one of my favourite characters and I enjoyed the background on him in fact for me I enjoyed the flashbacks better than the present day storyline I found the book seem to finish rather abruptly and I am not uite sure how it was resolved I also found the way it was written with one chapter in the present and the next in the past a little annoying I was just getting into certain parts when you got flung easy from it 3 stars and definitely not one of the better Buffy books
