Jinxed by MM Gavillet was a great read It drew me in instantly At first I was not sure if the book was the genre I read but after the first chapter I felt drawn to the world the author created Eliza a confused homeless girl left her drug addict mother a year ago now and she is on the Illinois streets Cared by a salvation army volunteer Rosie whom gives her food and a place to shelter When Rosie asks about Elizas past which she has tried to cover up Eliza decides she can not go back there After picking up a curious coin her life changes from bad to well I guess even bad Confused scared and hated Eliza is lost in two worlds either fight the demons or work with the demonsit is her choice I give Jinxed a huge thumbs up and five stars Now I have to wait for the second book

I was only going to give this 4 stars originally This being the first in a series but I found the story and the writing really great The author MM Gavillet did an exceptional jobThis was a very interesting read I enjoyed the mix of entities Demon sFairiesAngels and othersI like that they are all part of the Alliance that protects themselves and humans from the not so nice others that are out thereThere is a lot of action and a really great story line There is a lot of unanswered uestions that I assume will be answered over the next couple of books I m not 1 for cliff hangers so the end of this book wasn t to my liking It does lend to the next and as chapter 1 was there for the reading you leave 1 and go straight into the nextI m not 1 to do spoilers so wont say anything in regards to the book itself except that I hope it works out for Eliza in the end and she doesn t have too many attempts on her life
