For his help he presents a challenge that even Mervyn has never encountered before instead of a heart Callisto has only an inadeuate charm a charm that will kill him in a matter of days if Mervyn does not find a solution. 25 starsWhile the premise was interesting and I thought initially that Callisto was endearing but the rest was buried in a MEH story that dealt with the charms rather than the romantic progress Heck I thought Callisto had emotionally invested moments with his brother rather than with Mervyn I ended up feeling very bored It didn t help that the villain s identity was well not so surprising and almost too cliche

Mervyn is accustomed to the unusual and strange People of all walks come to him with problems that only magic can solve A wizard of no little skill he enjoys the challenges that come with his job and that he can offer he. 35This was a pretty interesting story a fairie has had his heart stolen and replaced with a mechanical device so a wizard can steal his magicHe finds another wizard willing to help him because without help he will die in a matter of daysThere is magic and trust and mistrust and an endearingly annoying brother and great aunt but the romance is very minimalLT3 always has very sweet non explicit stories and that s just fine with me but I wish just a bit time had been focused on the MC s romance That said I ll read the next one when it comes out and hope its about Malone and a very annoyed Baldric

Lp to people who have nowhere else to go Even fairies long abused by wizards for the special energy they can provide find their way to his doorBut when Callisto a terrified and maliciously attacked fairy shows up to ask. This was a very good story It s a pretty straight forward fantasy with just the perfect hint of romance There is action but the moments of tension are brief A simple but very well put together story elouent writing without the superfluous drama so many authors indulge in vivid but subtle world building and the characters feel real and are incredibly endearing They have distinct personalities but are not caricatures of themselves the way you find in a lot of romance books And while there is character growth and it is a full length book it is a fairly brief story so there are no dramatic changes or personality shiftsI would very much love to read from this world or read about these characters I love Miller s writing style I m not sure how to describe it other than to say that it s very subtle It s so smooth and well written that you never really notice the author the exposition and dialogue feels so natural you are never knocked out of the story Which is a somewhat rare and very appealing characteristic It s a full length book but the story moves so smoothly that it honestly feels uite a bit shorter I would definitely recommend it for a light read something to keep you occupied and happy for a few hours when you are looking for something sweet with lovely characters and no angst

This was a refreshingly cute story about Callisto who comes to Mervyn seeking help when a wizard steals his heart and replaces it with a charm that drains Callisto's energy Mervyn is willing to help him but to do that he needs expertise from another fairy who just happens to be Callisto's estranged brother Denzil Denzil and Mervyn do everyt

This is a very sweet and endearing book A greatly appreciated reprieve while I was reading a difficult book But it sounds horrible when I call it a reprieve because it's not just a 'filler' It has uite the interesting story line to it no great mystery but the whole idea of stealing hearts having a mechanical one is an in

Mervyn makes a living creating charms and working spells to help the people who come to his door Normally a wizard is the last place a fairy would go to for help but Mervyn has been known to freely give his services to those fairies that come to him without demanding a bond or any service from them To be bound to a wiza

I need to make this uick I liked Stolen Hearts I did But it wasn't great alsoWhat I liked The MC's are really sweet and likeable They have a super slow burning start into a relationship Derin is a great secondary character The charms wizards and fairy world was interesting butWhat I didn't like that much not enough developed on the one hand wizard fairy relationships ie and too repetitive on the other charms charms and charms the showdow
